I think there must be something wrong with me ... Its been almost a month since I ignored your advise to buy a "REAL AUG" instead of a USR ... so far, I haven't figured out how I would feel any better shooting a "REAL AUG" instead of this: With all the money I saved I was able to buy a bunch of "Accessories"! Any idea what could possibly be wrong ...

A rose by any other name is still a rose, but there is nothing wrong. You paid your money and you took your choice. If you are happy, that is all that matters. All you "real" AUG owners, be nice now and do not make any snide remarks about pretenders, fakes, counterfits, silicone implants, cod pieces, geldings, Viagra, etc..If we can control the political process so the "Assault Weapons" law will sunset in 2004 and roll back the Bush41 1989 import ban, maybe the price of a "real" AUG will fall back to $600 and this will all be moot. Ah, to dream....Beautiful package (the USR). Where did you get the AUG tower for your Beta/C? 0 -
I posted over at a fairly new board called Steyr-aug.com, the guy I bought the 16" barrel from emailed and asked if I wanted a factory new one & I was all over it. I bought the Beta about 10 years ago (I've only used it maybe 3 times)and opted not to get the AUG tower at that time ... stupid me! Now, like everything it was about 10 times the price it was originally ... the only way its useable is with the weapon sholdered so your hand can come up from below as the drums are right in line with the thumbhole ... but it looks cool!
