One good thing about the Valkyrie receiver is that it is milled from aircraft tubular stock rather than a two-piece stamping. Of course, the stock is welded in place and is not collapsible. The M3 was never and still isnt a particularly accurate firearm. Was never designed to be. It filled its role as a cheap, easy to produce SMG. The Valkyrie is probably the best semi-auto version of the M3 available (as opposed to do-it-yourself parts kit guns), but you pay for it. $750 is the price from Valkyrie.

I can't believe anyone would want one of these, soldiers didn't. They probably cost the Govt $7.50 each. The cocking assembly of the M3 was a troublesome Marx Toy Co contraption, replaced by the crude finger hole of the M3A1 and loading the single feed mags was something else. It was the Edsel of the military gun world. I doubt that anyone used them other than Tankers and maybe Telephone Linemen.

Good Morning V35! Unfortunately, this peice of junk was standard issue to Marine infantry in South East Asia. You are correct that accuracy was a sometime thing. They used to tell you that an M3A1 would put all of the shots from a full magazine into a 36 square foot area at 50 yards. The only problem with this is you never knew where each individual round was going to go in that 36 square feet and that was shooting 5 or 6 round bursts!

I WOULD BUY ONE. BET THE SEMI AUTO IS ACCURATE ENOUGH. AND THE 45 HAS VERY LOW RECOIL. OUT OF A 16 INCH BARREL IT IS PRETTY QUIET TOO. NOT LIKE A 4 OR 5 INCH BARREL BLAST. I HAVE A 16 BARREL CONVERSION FOR MY 45 AUTO, AND IT IS A PLEASANT SHOOTER,
