Browning vs. Benelli
Which is better, a 12 gauge Browning Gold or a 12 gauge Benelli Sport? It would be used as an all-purpose sort of thing, mostly sporting clays and such.

trust me when I say that the Benelli is the better choice. They have a reputation for less repairs at the ranges that rent guns. I took mine to Argentina on a dove hunt and heated it up until it burned your hand when you turned it over to reload. It never mis-fired, never jammed, never failed to feed the next round. I have 2 and will never come off of either one!!! My hunting partner has the Browning gold and it is nice, but I wouldn't take it over the Benelli. Here is a good research project for ya, go to the gun store and cycle the actions on each gun, you will find that the system on the benelli is lighter and I dare say smoother. Besides, who had the first inertia recoil system? BENELLI not Browning. And, they are made in italy! H&K used to have a part in that deal, now it is Beretta. These two companies wouldn't take on a gun if it were not top notch stuff. Ask the dealer if he will disassemble them both also, the benelli is so simple, it has to work well, just like th AK-47. Take a gander at the design that went into the Benelli bolt/operating system, this is pure engineering! 0
