How can you tell a nickle finish from an ultimate stainless finish? The bluebook lists both and I don't know which one I have. Also how can you tell the year it was made by the serial no.? Does the serial no. give any other info about the gun?

  Can anyone help me out with some pointers on changing the barrel on a Colt Python ? Is it a right or left hand thread ? Is the barrel pinned ? Is it recomended to remove the cylander and crane before starting the job ? Any help would be greatly appreciated , Thanks.

  AS ALWAYS "SAXON" IS CORRECT. A YEAR AGO THE COLT WOULD HAVE BROUGHT 25-35% MORE. I HAVE SOLD SEVERAL IN THE LAST YEAR AND THE MARKET SURE HAS GOTTEN SOFT. HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK.

  The last gun show I attended a few weeks ago had four separate tables with signs "Pythons wanted." There were none for sale. Tells me something.
