9mm vs .40cal
I am looking at buying a semiauto for a carry weapon. Have carried a .38 and .357 for years but would like a change over a revolver for carry. Is there any reason why one should not use a 9mm for a carry weapon and is there any significant advantage the .40cal has over the 9mm?

Hitting your target is way more important the the size of the round. 9mm has been around for ever. .40 is the new kid on the block. Freedom of choice they both work well. 0 -
If you have shot a 357 you should have no recoil problems with the 40. Bigger is better and capacity & accuracy are about the same for both. For a carry gun I pick the 40 over the 9mm every time.RG 0 -

The 40 also has more "downrange" stopping power than the .45. At closer range, yes the .45 hits harder, but the .40 penetrates!!!! The .40 is one of the hottest new calibers out there. 0 -
The .40 is just the baby brother of the 10mm.go for the gusto and get a G-20 10mm. 0 -
