    Hitting your target is way more important the the size of the round. 9mm has been around for ever. .40 is the new kid on the block. Freedom of choice they both work well.

    If you have shot a 357 you should have no recoil problems with the 40. Bigger is better and capacity & accuracy are about the same for both. For a carry gun I pick the 40 over the 9mm every time.RG

    9mm has less stopping power than either .38 Special or .367 Mag.Go with the .40.....or even better, .45ACP.[This message has been edited by Xracer (edited 10-30-2001).]

    The 40 also has more "downrange" stopping power than the .45. At closer range, yes the .45 hits harder, but the .40 penetrates!!!! The .40 is one of the hottest new calibers out there.

    The .40 is just the baby brother of the 10mm.go for the gusto and get a G-20 10mm.
