Ithaca 37 date of manufacture

Hello All, Anyone have a date of manufacture for an Ithaca Model 37 Serial Number 578144? Thanks in advance.

  Can someone please date this Ithaca 37 for me. I just picked this up its a 12g with a 30" full choke. Its has gorgeous wood and 90+ blue but does have some small rust spots with one bad one at the very end of the barrel.   On the web type in Ithaca Gun Company.Once you have reached their site click onto Factory. Have the serial number of you gun ready and type that in and they will give you the date of mfg.

  www.ithacagun.com They have a list of all dates of manufacture of the Model 37 without giving the exact # of your gun . I think this is a recent addition to the web site.
