    In the Shotgun News, alot of manufacturers won't even ship 10 round SKS's to California, probably due to the bayonet.I always figure big companies like SOG, who print "NO SALES TO CALIFORNIA" in every add, including the latest, under the SKS they show, probably know best.Anything with a removable 30 round mag is illegal to buy in Ca now, I thought.

    I don't believe a barreled receiver is concidered a "part" ... I may be wrong, but I pretty sure the serial numbered part is concidered to be the gun, weather its complete or not ... just like you can't buy a AR-15 stripped lower in CA either.

    1) You have to ship it to an FFL dealer AFTER you receive a signed copy of his FFL or you'll be breaking the law;2) The FFL dealer in CA will know what you can and cannot ship to him in CA;3) The barreled action IS the firearm;

    The SKS, all variations, is a BANNED firearm in the PRK. A receiver to a firearm is a firearm.DON'T DO IT!!!

    If your auction winner has paid for it; ship the whole rifle to the FFL. The FFL should be able to accept everything legally--whether or not the FFL can legally transfer the whole thing or parts to "your" buyer will be the CA FFL holder's problem then (they're the ones who choose to live in CA, let them deal with it!).

    Well, I agree with Nunn. I think it illegal, period. I believe even shipping any SKS into PRK is a felony, maybe I'm wrong. But would you take the chance? I have enough problems.

    An SKS with the capability to accept AK mags is a NAMED firearm on the PRK ban list. As such you would be breaking PRK law.

    Well, the "buyer" is still emailing me telling me it is legal and he will weld apermanent 10 round magazine on the SKS.I told him "no" & I'm not responding to anymore of his emails. Why do these peoplefrom California do this??

    I'm uncomfortable with the idea of a resident of one state feeling compelled to abide by laws of another state on shipping items legal in the senders'state but illegal in the receivers'state, especially if the goods go to an FFL. The senders' part of the transaction appears entirely legal.

    Ok, beantole,So if this poor fellow isn't going to get this sks, who is? Was this a GB auction? If so, what number?Most of the sks prices seem too high--but I keep thinking about those I passed by for $50-$60 bucks back in '93!Email me if it might interest a cheapskate like me. Thanks for the responses. I think I will re-list it with a large disclaimer that I will not ship it to California.
