That's what I thought too, $150 range. I've seen some 61's posted way up there in price. What makes those different? Roy

Are legs being pulled here? I've seen Winchester m61s that were manufactured between 1933-63 go for up to $750 to people I know who knew what they were doing. Of course, a lot has to do with the configuration and condition... But, I've NEVER seen one go for less than $150, even for parts!

This is not my brand but my blue book (21 ed) shows $500 for a 95% gun. My dealer has some for as much as $2000 but these are prewar oct. bbl or short only types.

A standard 61 in s-l-lr in 85-90% condition should bring about 300-350$. Check completed auctions tosee what they brought. There are so many configurations, calibers, magnum rimfires, and conditions that they can run up into the 1000.00's. I cant imagine the condition that a 61 would be to only be worth 150$

We were both kiddin`,I could have had an outstanding one for $300. from the guy at the table next to mine,a while back.Nobody would give the guy the $650. thathe was askin`.At the end of the show,he was ready for some cash, which I did not have, another guy did.It was all original, octagonal barrel, front sight had that little flip-up thing-a-mu-jigger..218
