How low is low? There are a couple things that I had a tendency to do with my 92FS that might help. It sounds dumb, but I used to anticipate recoil more than I should have and would actually squeeze the trigger while compensating for the recoil. I don't know why since I don't do that with any of my other calibers. The trick I found was to press out with the lower part of my palm on the lower part of the grip. I first thought it was the sights or I was just shooting too far, but as it turned out it was just me. Maybe this is a quick fix...maybe not.

The sights on the M92 are regulated for a certain type of ammunition (I am not sure what, but probably NATO spec 124 grain). Any other ammunition may not shoot to point of aim. If you are shooting light, fast bullets, they will shoot low because they have shorter barrel time. As mentioned, a flinch will also produce the same effect.I think Beretta offers different rear sights to compensate for different ammunition, but I am not sure. You might check the Beretta web site.

If you are shooting right handed and shooting low and to the left, that is a flinch. There are two things you can do that usually aid in correcting this problem. One is to place a nickel on the front sight with the gun UNLOADED and cocked. Dry fire the gun. If the nickel falls off, you are flinching. Eventually you will be able to dry fire the gun and not drop the nickel and the flinch will be gone. Another way is to let someone else load a mag for you and occasionally put in an empty mag. When you fire the gun, thinking it is loaded, when it is not, you will see the flinch.[This message has been edited by cliffdropover1 (edited 10-30-2001).]
