Did Ithaca make slug barrels for the model 51 shotgun?

And where might I find one?

I have a model 51 Ithaca semi auto 12 guage which I love to shoot. The ACTION BAR is broken again for the second time and cannot be repaired. Does anyone have one or know where I might look for one, new or in very good condition used? Ithaca was supposed to start making some of these replacement action bars, but never did. Any help appreciated. Thank you

This is "Prescott Pete's" answer to another post. I will NOT steal his thunder, it is his post.On the web type in Ithaca Gun Company. Once you have reached their site click onto Factory. Have the serial number of your gun ready and type that in and they will give you the date of mfg.

Unfortunately, they don't have the serial numbers for the Model 51. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked.

AntiqueDr, would you be able to tell me the year my Ithaca Model 51 was made. The serial number is 5100031867. Any other information/history would be great.
