British .303 for black bear?
I am thinking about using my No.4 Enfield .303 sporter for the Pennsylvania black bear season. Is this an effective rifle to use and if so what grain ammo? Any experiences or feedback welcomed. I usually take my .30-06 but the Enfield has been spending too much time collecting dust lately.

Wouldnt be a problem....Canadians have been using them for that purpose for generations. You shouldnt find it that different from your 30-06 at the ranges you'll be hunting at. Good Luck...regards swede

Most of the Native Americans that I know who hunt bear and moose with the .303 use the 215gr.round nose bullet. 0
