The 239 is a compact. Smaller than the 228 or 229. It is available in 9mm, .40 or .357.All are very good pistols. Choose the one you like best, for any will serve. If you decide on the 239 in 9mm, holler at me. I may be able to snag you a clean one at a decent price.

I have the (mid) compact p229 in 9mm and it's been nothing but a pleasure to own. Shoots accurate, never malfunctions, and it eats up everything I feed through it. Best compact 9mil I've owned.- poker_fish

I've got a 229 and a full new rig for it is coming from Kramer Leather. I'm just interested in another, slimmer one that makes for a more easily concealed carry gun.I'm still confused about what a Sig 225 is all about. Is it just a different version of a 239?Nunn, I sent you an email.christian

The now discontinued 225 is not a compact at all. It is a full-size service pistol, but has a narrow single stack magazine, and the frame is not as fat as a double stack one.

Nunn, Can you elaborate what a decent price for a 239 would be? I've been contemplating about getting one soon.-Smooth
