old knives

I dont know if this the place to ask, but need info. on care and cleaning of old knives that have been in storage a long time and show mildew [white spots] on grips and cases. What is the best way to clean them up?Regards, Jerry

  I'm assuming that the sheaths and grips are leather? I'd use a saddle soap like Propert's, and then when that dried out somewhat I'd apply a leather dressing.
