Just about any scope under $200 is going to be the same. It will get you by, but with scopes you definitely get what you pay for.

I had a Tasco 3-9x40 mounted on a crossbow.I used it one season (6 weeks) at the end of the season i shot one last arrow thru my crossbow & the Tasco scope fell apart.Part of the scope laid on the ground.Tasco scopes are JUNK!

As with most things in life, you get what you paid for. Tasco may make some junk, but then again...........I use a WC 3x9x40 MilDot on my Target 10/22.I've used it for a year with no problems. I don't know how it would fair on big cals though. My friend and I both use Tasco SS 10x42 (Super Sniper) on our M-14's (mine is ChiCom, but my friend is in Canada, he gets the real thing, TRW !!!) I have only shot a few rounds with it, but my friend shoots 900 yards + with his. He has a 10x42 and a 16x42.These are military grade scopes and are 50 cal capableCheck these out. http://www.swfa.com/riflescopes/tasco/index.html http://www.nucleus.com/~cronhelm/1mile.html GWN

I bought a used Kahles fixed 6X42 (just got it today) the exterior has been repainted a matt black. Duplex retical with drop comp and range finder, advertised as sniper scope. Its every bit as good as my Swarvorski (but not quite as pretty) cost $249.95 ... Swarvorski(new) $649 (edit) ... definately got more than my money's worth!

Sir, I used to sell a lot of Tasco World Class scopes 4-5 years ago, mostly 3-9's. They were good scopes with a life time guarantee and Tasco was very good about honoring that. The World Class Plus scopes were very good buys for the money and I still think they are. But, ever since they moved manufacture to China the World Class scopes are junk. I would recommend a Burris, especially the Signature series. The new Fullfield II's are also good buys for the money.

I've been using a Tasco Scope that I bought for $49 fifteen years ago and it works just fine. It's on a .356 cal Winchester Model 94 so it gets a pretty good whomp when I shoot and I carry it into the woods a lot during deer season. I have not been shooting a lot since ammo is expensive, but the scope is fine with me.Bonne Chasse!
