what are these markings on a SKS rear sight
Ok, I know there are some lines and numbers. My question is where should you line up the moveable piece of the rear sight and what do these numbers stand for(ranges in meters?). Also it is a russian sks if it matters.

The lines represent the range adjustment eg. 1=100yds (not sure about yds) You will notice in the nearest line it will have something like a C, this is used for 0-300yds then the lines become chronological.hope this helps.-Smooth

I believe each number represents 100 meters. 100 meters = 103 yards (I think, not sure) 0
