depends upon how and where you are storing them. I use Borestores, which are thicker fleece and not the stocking like ones. They are silicone treated. They help keep dust off and offer some protection from dings and dents. In New Mexico, humidity is hardly a problem, but I don't know how they would do in Louisiana. I would guess you would need a gunsafe with heat rod to keep rust off. 0
