Trigger pull and Point Of Impact.
Not really a question, just an observation that might help someone out. I recently got a used CZ 527 in 7.62x39 bolt action carbine with a 3x9 scope. This rifle has a 'set trigger' option that allows for either a conventional trigger pull at about 4lbs or the set trigger position at about 1lb or less. The trigger is fully adjustible. I just got it so I wanted to test fire it to see if the gun and optics were OK. This was at an indoor 25yd range, kneeling with an empty soft rifle case as a rest. The point of impact changed on me between the conventional trigger pull and set trigger. With the Set trigger I clovered three touching rounds dead center. In the conventional trigger mode, POI shifted 1/2" to the left and low and opened up about a 1/2" as well. This showed me how much trigger pull can affect how you shoot.I'll try it at 100yds as soon as I can and compare the results again.Roy
