I suspect what you have is a colt model M pocket automatic. I seem to recall that some were issued to general officers. The serial number would indicate 1944 manufacture.

GreetingsApparently what you have is a U.S. Mil issue .32 ACP Auto pistol that was issued to staf grade officers during WW2,dont remember the mod no. Cpt. Kirk would be the one on this one. It is said McArthur caried on in his hip pocket. Dockumentation on this one would probably put it in the high dollar range for a collectors piece Bill

These Colt 1903, 32acp pistols were also available for issue to General officers during the Korean war.The serial no. should be prefixed by M. Value is at a premium for pistols issued to Generals.

P.S. If you have the holster and dress belt and any photos of the General with the pistol keep them together to establish ownership and value.
