Smith & Wesson 559

Does anybody know anything about a Smith 559?I am thinking about buying a used one and just wondered if they have any known problems, ect. ThanksEdddyjoe

  The second of S&W's three generations of semi-autos did not last very long...maybe a year or two...that probably says something.

  It was an all blued steel version of the 459 which had an alloy frame. It weighed the same as a 659 which was all stainless. It didn't sell all that well, so S&W discontinued it.
