Juju,You have a fairly common Luger, made by Mauser. The value depends on condition. The markings you describe are what is to be expected on a S/42 Luger. If you want to post back with a description of the condition, I can give you a ballpark value.P.S., why do you think it's 1937? Is there a date on the top over the chamber? Is there a letter there? This info will help me give you a more accurate value.[This message has been edited by luger01 (edited 10-12-2001).]

Check out this site: www.lugerforum.com He has a great deal of information about lugers posted including pictures of markings and what they mean. The message board is a good source of information too. These guys love to answer questions and don't get snotty. If you don't already know how, ask how to correctly decock one of these pistols without dry fireing. This is very important after cleaning & oiling or showing it off as snapping on an empty chamber can do some harm on these.
