B.O.S.S. Sweet spots?
Hi Folks,I just bought a Browning A-bolt S.S. Syn. Stalker 300Win.Mag.Also purchased Winchester Supreme 165gr.bullets.The hand book did not have this round listed.Has anyone out there tested this round with the B.O.S.S.?Should I start tuning it from the Federal 165gr. data? The 300's recoil tells me to shoot the least amount possible! Thanks in advance of your help!Ed

I have found the weight of the bullet more important than the brand.

Felt recoil with that stock will always be high. Stock wasn't designed to properly position face, and "break away".You might be able to minimize felt recoil by trying the following:#1. Is the scope set too high relative to your eye position?#2. Is the FOV & Eye Relief correct?#3. If bench shooting are you positioning sand bags, other hand, etc., correctly?#4. After checking the above, if all correct, try using a ITC cheekpiece.Varmit hunter is "on target". Compare weights, and velocity to get close.

I did virtually all the developmental testing on the BOSS system. Don't want to clutter up the page with a lengthy reply. If interested e-mail me at blacarrow@att.net 0
