Nate, What you have been looking at, the Ruger Mk II target, is hands down the best there is for anything near the price. My own Mk I, purchased new in 1964 for less than $50, has had at least 10,000 rounds thru it. No misfires, no jams, never a replacement part. Be certain to get the TARGET version, and make your decision between the 5 1/2 Bull and the 6 1/2. Have fun.Morty

All modles suggested are great, espically the Ruger, which will hold its value probably better than the rest, but then If its something you plan to keep, it really doesn't matter ...One other sugetion, if you can find one the Colt Cadet is also a great shooter, and being a Colt will also hold its value. I say If you can find one because I beleive they stopped production of the Cadet several years ago ... '97 maybe ... at any rate JudgeColt or someone who knows more about Colts than I will probably be along after while & correct me if I'm wrong.

Try all of the above mentioned and buy the one that you are more comfortable with. Yhos will add to your performance with the pistol in the end...blah blah blah (hey! didnt the other posts end like these too?)-Smooth
