? about old 1911 - Essex Arms Corp

also came across an old 1911, mfg by Essex Arms Corp, Island Pond, VT. Serial number is 32xx. It appears to be all original with about 85% blue remaining, great bore. Any ideas on worth?

  ICE NINE, Nothing special about most of them. The ones I've seen are ok, a few built up with premimum parts, unless this is the case $350 would be a little steep in my area for a gun with only 85% finish ... probably more like $250-275 ... all depends on the buyer/area.

  Kimberkid hit the nail on the head, $225 to $275 around here. They are mostly kit type guns. If it was built by an excellent gunsmith with premium parts, you would see the $350 or more range. Essex made frames, not complete guns.
