I just bought a used Sig-239. It does not have any West Germany markings on it. Does that mean that it was made in the US? Would the gun be woth more if it was made in Germany?

I have several Sig's and also a Glock 17C. All are very good weapons. No trouble with any yet.

I switched to a Sig 239 from a 229 because of the size and concealability,it is a pleasure to carry and I've never had a malfunction of any type, and it shoots and points the same as all my other larger Sigs, get yourself a set of Hogue soft rubber finger groove grips and you will love the 239 even more...

I shoot IDPA and just traded my w. german sig 220 .45acp for a sigpro sp2340 in 40 s&w to eliminate recoil, muzzle flip, and help with target aqquisition. awesome pistols!
I spent all my money on guns, women, and beer. The rest I just wasted.wiredog70@hotmail.com

Thanks to all who have responded, Sig-man, The 239 came with the hogue grips, feels great in my hands. The former owner of the 239 wants to sell me his 220 @ $500 does this seems right. The 239 was fired only a few times and the 220 only a few times. Thanks again.

If the P-220 comes with the original box and has spare magazines then it is worth the $500, just the gun by itself should run $425-$450,good luck and have fun...
