7.65 x 53 vs. 7.65 x 54, What's the difference?
I have a Mauser rifle that shoots 7.65 Argentine. I shoot Norma Ammo. I've now learned there are two Argentine loads. 7.65 x 53, and 7.65 x 54. What ammo goes with which Argentine Mauser, and what is the difference? What would happen if I chambered the 53 in a 54 chamber? The olnt information I can find in the reloading manuals is for the 7.65 x 53. One of you Mauser experts please give me a quick lesson!

There is no difference. The 1 mm depends on who measured the cartridge case....the Belgians or the Argentinians. 0 -
The round is, I believe, technically 7.65X53.5. Some round up, some down in designation. Same round.
