  Both are good, but the Bulgarian would win the beauty contest. Both will functional well, but the Romanian will be a lot cheaper.

  The Bulgarian will definitely win in the cosmetics department. I belive that the Bulgarians have milled receivers as opposed to the Romanian stamped receiver which is an added bit of importance.

  pat i have an sar 1 it,s a nice gun for the price it shoots great no jam,s it,s not the best ak but it,s the best for the money---- the hawk

  if you refinish the stock and forearm on a Sar-1 like i did with mine it makes it look 50 times better.
