ak-47 scope mounts

Is there an advantage to the left sided scope mounts for the romanian ak over the top mounted ones? I've seen both and I wonder if anyone has an opinion on which to get.thanks in advance.

  I would go with the side mount. I have the top mount that replaces the plate on top and it is almost impossable to keep it zeroed in. The top mount plate doesn't fit real tight.

  Have you seen the scout mounts for the AK's?
