Glock 20 questions

The frame is the same as the Glock .45 and you won't find to much 10mm ammunition at the "marts", and even some gunshops. I've had a Model 20 since they came out, it's a sweet shooter when stocked with downloaded 10mm rounds (ie .40 S & W velocity). The 15 round mag. is plenty of firepower, although extra mag.s rate premium prices everywhere.

How's the recoil? Similar to .45?-Marcus

With the light loads, the guns "feels" softer that a regular .40 cal., but let loose with a few true 10mm rounds and you'll remember that its a magnum.

The felt recoil of my G-20 is considerably more than my Sig P-220 .45acp, but it is manageable for an experienced handgunner. Unless you have relatively large hands, the G-20 is a handful. I cannot say enough good things about the G-20, aftermarket, drop-in barrels can be purchased in .40 S&W and .357 Sig for the G-20 and both utilize the existing magazine. A 6" 10mm barrel is also available. With these extras, its a potent package. 10mm ammo is readily available at Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas, haven't seen it in any of the 'marts. You won't be dissapointed in the Glock 20. If you handload 10grns of powerpistol under a 135grn JHP is a helluva 10mm load.Regards,Jon
