Get the buckmark, overall to me it is the better pistol.I have 2 of them, bull barrel and the 4 inch micro buck. However, ruger and browning are both good choices. It all boils down to the "wants"[This message has been edited by ladr (edited 10-01-2001).]

I'll probably buy a Ruger later as well. Thanks for the reply.-Marcus

I have a Ruger MK2 and a Buckmark. MY ruger is stainless with the bull barrel. Shoots great with certain ammo. My Browning had the 4 in. barrel but I installed the 7 in. target barrel. Shoots great and balances a little better than my ruger. However there are more aftermarket parts available for the ruger. It's a tough choice....buy both.

I have several models of both pistols, all are super accurate and just plain fun to shoot. Browning now has a rifle/carbine version of the Buckmark that is my newest toy.

I have had two buck marks and one chalenger that all stovepiped with wildcats. Shot gilded metal very well. Ruger ugly but very reliable with all ammo.dennisw

i have a ruger mark 2 5-1/2 inch bull i got in 1984 i have shot it over 50,000 rounds it is just as accurate today as it was then.i have owned the browning as well .they proved to be less reliable than the ruger so they found new homes. the ruger has a home with me .
