S&W Model 29
Just received a S&W 50th anniversary model 29. I am not happy with the ring on the cylinder. The ring is through the bluing about a half inch between each chamber. Talked to dealer I got it from and the other two he has in stock are the same way. Does not seem correct for a so called collectors peice to have this bad of a ring. What is your take on this.

Can't get on the S&W web site today. Does anyone know if Smith still makes a 629 in what I believe they referred to as a "Mountain" something or other? It had a three inch barrel, rosewood grips and I do not believe it was ported. Any idea on the retail$$$???Thanks all. 0 -

SaxonPig is right on the 629. It is a .44cal and ranges from $295 at 95% to $400 at 100%. These are "Blue book" values. Of course, like anything else, Its value is whatever you or anyone else is willing to pay for it. 0 -
Right on the 3" 629. The Mountain Gun is also a 629...as is the Backpacker...as is the Classic. 0
