Dan Wesson 1911
Has anyone had a Dan Wesson 1911 yet, and if so what do you think? Are they good quality and crafted well?

Saw a few of these at a gun show last week end. Rather impressive. Also rather expensive! Don't know much about them. Are they worth the big bucks? 0 -
I don't own one, but have examined and fired the Pointman Minor. Excellent, well-made, accurate, reliable. There are so many good 1911-types now that it's difficult to choose. I acquired two new Colts recently (1991-A1s, a full size and a Commander size) and believe these to be among the best they've ever produced; excepting the "plastic" triggers and mainspring housings, which I promptly replaced with aftermarket parts. Kimber, Wilson, Brown, Baer, etc., etc. So many good ones......so little time and money! 0 -
I bought one of the very first commander size (Guardian Duce) models that was produced and have nothing but praise for it. All of the parts (Jarvis, Millett, McCormick, etc.) used are of top quality and the fitting was exceptional. On my gun, I would rate the quality at or above any of the better brands (Kimber). I understand that some of their lower grade (Pointman Minor) series do not have the Jarvis brls or some of the bells and whistles that are on the higher grades.
