Series 70 and 80 slides interchanges

Does the series 80 slide work on the standard series 70 1911 frame or is there modifications that have to be made? I understand the firing pin block and it seems like you could just remove the lever from the slide. Anybody out there done one of these swaps?

  Thanks,The gun is for my own use so I'm not worried about the lawyers getting involved. I just want to know if there are any hidden problems that may not be common knowledge such as must replace the firing pin, etc.Thanks
