Rem 870 TRAP GRADE
Other than the stocking of this shotgun what are the differances between it and the standard 870 Wingmaster ? I am told that the hole through the forearm is different between the two. What parts don't interchange ?Jesse

Trap model will be single shot only, with no provision for repeat shots, magazine is solid at back and is designed for addition of weights inside the mag tube, there is no cutoff or feed stops inside the receiver, and there will usually be a "T" suffix with another letter noting grade at end of serial #, better wood, thicker thru the wrist and higher comb on some models, 0 -
Actually, Remington also makes a Trap grade 870 repeater. 870TB and TC. Major difference is the wood, the style of the vent rib and choke, and some extra hand-fitting in the action.

Yes Remington does make trap models that are repeaters. Mainly because there is a doubles competition in trap. The model I have in mind is a 870TB. The only problem is that when I sight down the barrel I see more rib than anything else. I am considering changing over to a good field grade stock instead of butchering the beautiful trap grade stock. That is if I get it. Then I could use it for hunting and shooting clays.Anyone have any suggestions.Jesse 0
