Found a Colt 1911 GI marked Property US Goverment.

Probably 98% It's absolutely perfect.

They had $1200 on it. Close or not?

  What is a Smith & Wesson model 14, 6 inch barrel in very good to excellent condition worth? Also do you know where I can find a Smith & Wesson model 27 or 28 in 3.5 or 4 inch?

  Assuming the condition is in great shape (98%), and you have the original box and papers, around $250. Anything less in condition is less in price. The average used price would be around $200. Hope that helps.

  According to the S&W blue book, the model#681 if it's 100%, is worth $320, at 98%, it's worth $235 and at 95%, it's worth $195. Hope this helps.

  Well that's good news, I hate to think it's 100% because it's not new, but the gun is really in great shape. What steps should I take to try to sale this gun?Thanks in advance for help...Al
