Browning B-92

Is there someone on the forum who have comments about this rifle? Accuracy, reliability? The one i am looking for is a 44 mag NIB. For the same price, would it be better to buy a winchester 94?

  A B92-44Mag NIB is worth about $500.

  Thanks V35. That's about what i had in mind. Can anyone tell me if it is a good rifle? Any feedback would be appreciated.

  I've always had a thing for the '92 Winchester so I'm partial. I bought one 10 years ago for $250, perfect except for thinning bluing on the lever. It shot very well except to my disappointment, wouldnt feed handloads with the longer Keith bullets.I think it would feed 44 spls with the Keith bullets though.A new (less box) B92 came my way for $275 so I took it and sold the first one. This onehas a firing pin 1/16" too short or a breechblock too long. If you let the firing pin fall forward, it wont fire. Alternatively, the rear of the breechblock could be machined 1/16" forward. Replacement pins are also too short. Browning wont honor the defect because of the age, so some day I'll lengthen the firing pin, since making a new one is a little complicated. It would work as an inertia firing pin if you could install a rebound spring. I can't imagine this problem existed on all the B92s and dont recall it on my first one but I would check this out on a B92 if you find one.
