Check out the Mossberg Marinecote Special Purpose at http://www.mossberg.com/pcatalog/Specpurp.htm Go the "Prices" page, and look at #50299Thats the model that I've got, and it will never let you down. It comes with the standard shoulder stock and the pistol grip.If you want a little more, get the matching heat shield, ghost ring site kit, and the line throwing kit! You can also get the Speedfeed stock that holds 4 additional roundsRegards, Brisco.

I too intend on buying a "Marine" shotgun as I do a lot of sailing and the compact size with the pistol grip looks to be a benefit for my needs.

It looks like the responders prefer the Remington to the Winchester with some liking the Mossberg.

    [?] Several questions please.

    1) Remington vs Mossberg. Pro and Con's. of each keeping in mind, I may accessorize it.

    2) Are there any other manufactures that makes this style of shotgun?

    3) I've found some with 14" barrels, (Sawed-off) or AOW meaning "Any Other Weapon" that required a Class 3 license. What is required for this type of license?

3a) What restrictions might there be with this shorter type of gun vs the standard 18.5" model and general thoughts for this type of gun?

    Thanks for any help!

Sorry for the duplicate post. I guess I did't post it in the correct format mode as help. I hope the board manager can delete the frist post.
