What is a Walther P1 that is in very good condition worth? And just how good of a firearm is it?

It is a post-war commercial production of the P38, basically. It has an alloy frame and the same barrel length as the P38 post-war.(War production P38's had steel frames.) I've had one for years, nice gun. There was also a P4, it has a 1/2 inch shorter barrel. Most of the P1's you'll find were made in the 1960's and 1970's.

You might consider checking the dates of the posts your responding to. Seven years seems to be a rather long time to be answering some guy, doubtful if he's still around or interested.
