I don't know about hollow points and stuff, but when I want to estimate the stopping power for a solid bullet I use the TKO system.Bullet Weight x Muzzle Velocity x Caliber then divide that number by 7000.For example a .45acp (.452") 230gr bullet going 830fps will have a tko rating of 12.33 0 -
I don't know about golden saber but my department has gone to the 155gr hydra shock. They did studies and keeped stats with other departments saying it had higher one shot stops around 96% vs. mid 80% for 180 JHP of various brands. PS the 155gr JHP .40 leaves a bigger hole in soft tissue than the mighty .45 but I know alot of people won't believe that. 0 -
Guys, those stats are really out of date. Evan Marshall has a message board at http://pub58.ezboard.com/bthestoppingpowercommunity It has a lot of interesting information. Evan responds on iy regularly. 0 -

the 165gr golden saber has the best track record among 40 sw loads at 94% 1 sot stops...the 180 comes in at 86% 0 -
Don't you guys know that Marshall just makes up all that stuff? That info is VERY propietary to the people involved, and they do not share it. Each and every time that Marshall has dared to give specifics, a check on same by others shows his info was WAY off base. So it's all bs. 0
