Rem. 742 Woodsmaster bolt?'s

How do I get the bolt out? I am needing to put a new extractor in,
but I can't seem to get the bolt out to do it. Have trigger assy. and bolt handle out already.

  You will have to remove the barrel to get the bolt out of the gun. This is achieved by removing the barrel nut with the proper size wrench counter clockwise front view, if Ive read your question right you have already removed the operating handle. Now with the barrel removed the bolt will come out the front of the gun.

  Can you get an extractor? There was a rumor that Remington was not selling them (and the rivit) anymore, but I never tried to verify.

  Yes I think I can get one easier than I can gat that barrel off.

  order 2 or 3 rivets with each extractor, if you order 1 you'll need 2
