remington 1894
I am having trouble with a model 1894 sxs, 12 ga, that seems to be unusally stiff to break open and eject. I can't do it without almost having to take it across my knee, and I really don't want to do that too much.
Any clues ? Lubrication doesn't seem to affect the issue, nothing clicking, clanking or rubbing that I can hear.

very solid gun, mirror bores, ejectors,no cracks in wood, finish worn on barrells. 12 gauge. Whats it worth?? 0 -
The Remington 1894 SxS hammerless was made in six grades, which affect the value greatly.
Can you describe the engraving (if any)?0 -
remington has minimum engraving on receiver and nice checkering on wood 0 -
If it does have some engraving, but only a small amount, I'm going to assume it's a Grade BE.
Here's what the latest Blue Book gives for values:
50% = $1000
60% = 1400
70% = 1700
80% = 2000
90% = 2200
95% = 25000
