Daisy "VL" rifle
I have a Daisy VL rifle that I bought new sometime in the 1980s.
Also have about 700 rounds of ammo for it. For those who are not
familiar with this weapon, it is a single shot .22 rifle that uses
caseless rounds, sometimes called a "rocket" rifle. Am curious as
to value of rifle and ammo.

Is this the standard or presentation grade?
Standard Grade $100 - $175
Presenataion Grade $150 - $400
These are appreciating pretty quickly.
Ammo, 1000 rds. $50 - $55.0 -
Standard grade.

Incidentally, if you do decide to sell it, you won't need to transfer it through a FFL, it is not considered a firearm. For more info contact:

I had one of these stolen a few years back when we were moving... I had the presentation model and 10,000 rounds of ammo. I also had one that I used to shoot. They are kinda like a flintlock blackpowder gun to shoot, if your quarry is moving, you have to follow through like your are shotgunning - they are a little slow to react, but a beauty. Pretty accurate too. It is a shame... Supposedly they had to stop production because Daisy didn't have a license to produce "firearms" so they ceased production. Later, the government deemed it a non-firearm... Make up your mind!
Daisy has a great museum if anyone is ever in the Rogers Ark. area.0
