muzzle break on yugo sks
My dad "gave" me a yugo sks for christmas. When i took it out to the range yesterday another guy had an sks. Mine has a muzzle break on the grenade launcher. its really nothing more than 6 or 7 holes drilles into the launcher, while the other guys didnt. Is this an aftermarket thing or is it a diff. model??[?]

If your in the People's Republic the Grenade Launcher's are illegal so someone drilled holes in it making it a muzzlebrake to comply with state law. Although you can screw it off and have a threaded barrel which I believe is not accepted in the Communist State either.
Let's change the laws and quit bickering about them. One man CAN change the status quo.0 -

Yours is obviously a pre-ban that managed to get in the country with it's genade laucher. The holes where drilled to render it "de-milled".0 -
The Yugo SKS has a grenade launcher on the front that looks like a muzzle break. Some had holes, some did not. I don't know the diff, but most all Yugo SKS look the same. You can turn the Yugo SKS into a straight pull bolt action by putting the gas cuttoff button in the middle position. 0
