What is it worth WW2 BB Machine Gun Trainers

BB Machine Guns made in Long Beach, CA. by The Mac Glashan Machine Gun Corp. They are called TRAINER - AERIAL GUNNERY. I have three of these two E-3's and one E-13. The E-3's look like Small 30 caliber air cooled machine Guns. The other is a remote mount.
These guns are NOT TOYS. They can go through both sides of a 55 gallon drum at under 75 feet. The E-3's are dated 1942. The E-13 is 1944. I have had these for over 30 years. Contact me at Wolftrap97@aol.com

    I'm not looking to buy one, just curious. How do the operate, compressed air?

    Both sides of a drum is a serious BB gun. Sounds like it would be fun to set up on a pool bank and shoot snakes with one of these things.

    Thanks for the info. Of the three guns I used two of them. and had the other for spare parts. But I have never needed any parts from that one so it is still intack. Each BB is sent down the barrel with a rod attached to a piston that is yanked forward by way of a electro maginet The rod starts the BB and the piston compresses the air. When the piston gets to the end of its travel it opens a valve and blasts the BB with a shot of compressed air. I seem to remember 1600 fps on the BB's. The Guns run on 6 to 24 volts DC. I recomend and use 12 volt Dc battery charger. And air from a compressor at 55 psi Min to 250 Max. I use a air compressor at 100 to 125 psi. I never tried a Snake but Perrie Dogs and Squarils don't last to long. Tin can look like a 22 shot them. You can contact me at Wolftrap97@aol.com

    Sorry to but in as I don't have any information to offer you, but what is the rate of fire for the two sizes? And how are they fed? From a resevoir maybe? This is waaaayyy too cool to leave alone. Could you maybe post a pic of one?

    Wolftrap, I specialize in US military ammo collecting. I've samples of the .22 trainers which were brass sheet belts but never heard of this item before and thank you most sincerely for sharing this information!     If I knew how to get a photo out of AOL I would post some for all to see.
    I use 100 to 125 psi air and 12 to 15 Volts DC from a Car Battary Charger to run them.
    You can set the Rate of Fire from around 150 BB's per minute to close to 700 BB's per minute. I have them set at about 450 BB's per minute. Any faster and you dry out the oil in the system and then the piston sticks.
    By the way you can buy BB's from Dasiy by the pound. My normal order is 60 to 100 lbs at a time. That lasts for a while.

    You have some pretty pricey training pieces from WWII. Because live fire training was expensive, and ammo scarce,contracts were awarded to companies that could build these full auto bb guns. They were used to train troops on the Browning BAR [E-3] and the M-2 [E-13]. They are very rare in working order, and highly collectable. In good condition AND operational they will bring somewhere in the three to five thousnad dollar range, yes, thats each.

    Txs.....Check w/ your conservation dept. before shooting snakes w/ anything. I'd bet they're protected by your states wildlife code. Hate to see you get your weapon confiscated and recieve a big fine, maybe even jail time.[V]

    Wow, Xracer, I just looked at the link you provided and now I am wanting to build myself a .44 or .40 cal air rifle lol. That's one intense air gun. I wonder how effective they would be?
