Another mid-range 1911 clone. Supposed to be OK, but I would go for some of the better stateside producers. Take a look at Kimber, Springfield, or Colt. 0 -

someone is looking at a Ford and you tell them to buy a Rolls Royce. Not everyone is made of money. We've had a number of these guns come thru and so far they worked. But they are FORDS and priced accordingly. 0 -
Price diff. between a mediocre .45 and a "good" one? Maybe $300-400,.... money well spent.

A great THEORY. But some folks just don't have it.
And NO mention is made as to using it as a self-defense guns. I have MANY guns but few are called upon for that purpose or are
assigned that job. And even the high priced guns can fail.
If you buy it and you TRUST it, it will work. I have a well used
Spanish Star Model B that is worn but 100% reliable. Not bad for $150 and I'd include my Makarov in that catagory.0 -
If someone is just getting in to fireams, its okay if the first gun is a "cheapy". It will be money well spent in the long run. I will not buy an inexpensive gun of questionable quality. I learned this for my self. I have a couple of guns that are worse than useless when I tried to save a buck. Always buy quality! But, learn it for yourself.John

If you're looking for an inexpensive 1911 type, I'd say check out the Rock Island .45's, I believe these are USA made? A guy I know has one and likes it.
I too have that opinion to buy the best, but don't always put that in pratice. Bought a Bersa Thunder 9, gun actually worked pretty well but was a gamble.

I didnt necessarily say cheap is what I am looking for. I can afford many of the guns in discussion. I am looking for an unbiased opinion
from someone familiar with the gun. I had a machinist examine the gun and he gave positive remarks. I am interested in bang for the buck and Ive bought many trendy guns that werent worth a crap. It shoots well, doesnt jam, and is fairly accurate. Has anyone had any real experience with it? Thanks0
