Winchester 37 A Question
In looking up a value for an old shotgun in the Blue Book I could not find the Mod37A, I did find the Mod37, but no A suffix. So I kept looking in other reference books and still no designation for the 37A. Now my question is, have I found the gun as a Mod.37 or is there a variation I have not found. I have seen references to a youth model but these also say Mod.37. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Queeks-The 37A is mechanically different from the 37, although they look a lot alike. The 37 is probably the better gun. They made lots of both models, so values are not high for either. Can't give you a value without a condition. 0 -

37A produced by Winchester @ Cobourg, Ontario plant 1973-80 about 391000 produced. 37A youth same gun but 410 or 20 with 12.5 in pull. This model replaced the mod 370 which was the cheap replacement for the 37.

Queeksdraw, look in GB auctions. There are usually 37's and 37A's. Looking for a 37 on 410 myself, but when they pass 200.00, I quit looking. My first gun was a 37 in 410. It cost 36.00, new (in 1958) LOL. 0
