I'm thinking of replaceing my remington 700 trigger after the holidays what are some good choices? I want to be able to adjust it my self.

  Canjar and Timney come to mind not 100% sure they have one to fit your Model but I have used both of them and they are good. Hope this is of some help good luck

  The remington trigger is a great trigger. It is adjustable by the owner. You may want to ask one of us who have them, for a copy of the original Remington factory directions on trigger adjustments for the 700. These are not included with rifles anymore, thanks to overly sympathetic and/or blind juries... and spineless judges. [V]

  jewell triggers are the tops. They will adjust from 1 1/4 ounces to 4 lbs. Sinclaire international has them for $221

  Whats the lowest I can go on a factory trigger? You wouldn't happen to have one do you easygo6

  Yes I have the sheet of instructions. Just be reasonable and REALISTIC when you start to reduce the weight or the creep. You GOTTA keep some of this on a sporting rifle for safety. The bench guns can be set up safely with VERY light triggers and miniscule creep.
  
  I'll try to scan the intruction sheet into a computer file that I can email. BE CAREFUL. Let a buddy try the trigger after you finish your adjustments. If he/she believes it to be too light you may want to reconsider your position. See, you will gradually decrease the weight and creep in a progressive fashion and might not be aware of just how light the trigger is. I'll get back with you this weekend if I succede in loading up a file.
