YES! There are two things. The best is to contact Redstar Arms. They have after market fire control groups that not only eliminate trigger slap but, also vastly improve overall smoothness. I'm not sure but, I think they might also be adjustable.

The other way, is to go to "www.ar15.com" and click onto "AK", then onto AK "general discussions". Either do search for "trigger slap fix" or post onto forum and ask. Probably the most knowledgable person there to ask is "CAMPYBOB".

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for you reply. I looked throught he AR-15.com-AK forum and found several helpful posts that expaliend the problem and gave two options for fixing it. One was to replace the trigger group w/ some Red Star Arms (I could not find a website or contact info for this manufacturer). The other posts showed the way to fix the problem with a Dremel tool. I plan on taking the MAADI apart tonight to see if I can eyeball the place the disconnector is hitting the trigger.

Thanks for your help. You directed me to the right place to get the problem solved.

    Cheers, Sean

Hey, glad I could help. Also, don't hesitate to ask those guys on the "AK" forum because some are gunsmiths to varying degrees and they enjoy sharing info.

I've got the same problem. Let me know what they said about grinding it down.

You can run, but you'll just die tired.

I also found the Red Star Arms website. For $79.00 you can get an entire new trigger group. That's the solution that we are going to try. Seems like a simple install, or a local gunsmith can do it.

    Cheers, Sean
