Need some advice about purchasing a H&K G3
I'm considering purchasing a H&K G3 made by Century Arms. I don't have any experience with this particular rifle. I need someone to tell me about it, whether it is in good condition? does the American made reciever function properly as far as jamming? Any other advice or comments would be apperciated.

The design is good as we all know, very reliable and reasonably accurate, however keep in mind these are built on non-HK licensed/spec receivers; by people not trained by HK; from used parts kits that are largly not HK parts, but from HK licensed manufacturers ... so what does this all mean?
It means in most cases you get about what you pay for, but there is the occasional lemmon that has canted sights, overly tight or loose mag fit ... but all in all, from what I've heard they are doing a decent job and 99% of the people that buy them are happy with their purchase.
It seems that about 12 years ago (just after the 89 ban) the demand wasn't nearly so high for these (espically the .308 model) and you could usually pick up an excellent used HK91 with a few mags, and other accessories for $5-600 which is what the world market sees them as being worth ... now being banned, the American way of "supply and demand" has driven their value to the completely unreasonable and insane price $2000-$3000+ for the exact same gun/accessories ... and the clones are now worth the same or more that what the original HK is really worth ... IMHO
