  The ammo I have is stamped:F.M.C. Chile 19 71. It is loaded with about 145 grain silver colored bullet w/green sealant. I shot some of it and it didn't seem to be corrosive. Not too accurate, either. The bullet pull seemed very hard. I have 200 rounds +/- that I'd like to sell.

  Guys;
  Any chilean ammo that is steel cased and sealed and some that is brass cased and sealed, especailly if the manufacture date is in the 1970's should be considered corrosive. Most of this stuff is soviet block ammo or made in chile to soviet specs. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN any gun firing this stuff well after each shooting session. By the way, just because it states non-corrosive on the label,it may still be. The Chilean government, which controls all thing firearm in that country, are not above selling corrosive ammo as non-corrosive. Most of this ammo is military surplus.
