Wildcat question...
To any of you folks who reload has anyone ever heard of a wildcat round consisting of a .308 necked down to a .277 or ".270" bullet? I have been reloading a while now am thinking of having a custom rifle made in a truly unique chambering. I'm sure its been done but in my searches I have not found any info on it. Can anyone help?

RCBS makes dies for the 270-308 and C-H makes dies for several versions of it. 0 -
You could check here; lots of wildcat data and very sharp / pleasant folks with whom to deal:

A suggestion: Check out the price of the dies before you have the rifle made. I bought a custom caliber rifle one time and nearly fell over when RCBS told me how much the dies would be.

Thanks folks. Is there a site which would have the history/development/load data for this wildcat? That iformation would be truly helpful to me.

Check a copy of wildcats. It lists .270 Redding with loads and development data.
